Constructed from a Cotton ‘Trade’ Hickory Stripe with a dark navy background and fine wax tone vertical stripes, this Carhartt Trade Michigan Coat is a new style for SS21 and features signature branding on the chest. As one of Carhartt’s most famous designs, a focus on classic styling and durable construction is notable across this design which has triple stitched seams and a button-through front that leads to a neat collar neckline. On either side of the chest shaped patch pockets with curved corners offer space to carry essentials, one with a single button secured flap closure and the other with a square woven label presenting signature Carhartt branding. Additionally, on either side of the waist larger patch pockets can be used to store bigger items. Allowing you to roll the fabric to suit, the long sleeves have curved cuffs secured by single buttons and the hem of the body is straight.

Updated each season in new colour tones and since 2019 in an organic cotton variation of the famous ‘Dearborn’ canvas to demonstrate Carhartt’s movement into more sustainable practise, the Michigan Coat has a new look for SS21 in a striped hickory fabric which gives the workwear inspired silhouette a statement aesthetic. Inspired by their own heritage and the timeless look of a workwear jacket, the Michigan Coat is considered an iconic design from Carhartt and remains a core piece within each seasonal release.
